Submitted on Review title of RMH 004Hot Wheels should have its own arcade titleUnfortunately this expansion reveals the fact that the more extreme elements of arcade racing do not mix well with simulation (e.g.
Using Simulation damage will get the car broken on the booster pads). The tracks can be visually confusing, especially in cockpit view, and some cars have such poor visibility on these tracks from cockpit view (e.g. Modified 1932 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe) that you're forced to use bonnet cam if you're used to 1st person, The Twin-Mill forces you to do this anyway due to the decision to use a two seat interior rather than placing the driver's seat in the middle. Doesn't fit so well with Forza.I personally prefer something more realistic and grounded, this expansion breaks the perfect balance (between Simulation and Arcade) of Forza. It does make an interesting change of pace though, and I'm sure that some would love a Hot Wheels arcade title. Submitted on Review title of Marek(PC) Works flawlessly, quite fun and refreshingContrary to some 'opinions', Hot Wheels DLC installs and plays just fine - some people just do not understand that before installing freshly released content their game has to be brought up to date.
So, look for updates first, buy ANY DLC for ANY game after updating - this has been a good practice in gaming for at least a decade. And now, the DLC itself - new map, ridiculously overdone cars, some not-that-good commenters (Microsoft, take note - 'characters' starring in this game are just not funny, and the more they try to be, the more they appear fake). Only issue I have with Hot Wheels is that the new type of tyres does not blend in - it makes the overall performance score of the car too high. What I mean is, cars using those new tyres are underperforming compared to cars not using them - its not really noticeable on Hot Wheels roads, but as soon as such car is driven elsewhere, insane toy grip of these tyres ceases to matter and all other cars in the race are faster.
